Q. Is a modular home constructed the same way as a traditional house?
A. Our modular homes are constructed using the same building codes which apply to traditional stick frame houses. Exterior walls can be 2x4 or 2x6 construction/ Roofs can be a variety of slopes and styles.

Q. Does my new home carry a warranty?
A. Yes. All our homes carry a 10 year Builder's Limited Warranty. Your new car comes with a warranty. Shouldn't the largest purchase you will most likely make come with a warranty as well? Ask and we'll send you a copy to review.

Q. Is there a cost savings to build modular?
A. Time and Certainty - The modular home is completed quickly thereby savings months of mortgage payments. Since the home is designed and build off-site, many variables such as weather and labor shortages are avoided.

Q. Why are their not many modular homes in this area?
A. Here in the Northeast many homeowners prefer two story homes and demand quality structures that can withstand our weather and our tastes. SDC understands what New Englanders look for in a house and we work with the factory to deliver a high quality house you can be proud to call your home.

Q. I live on a narrow street - can I still build a modular house?
A. In most cases this is not a problem. Low utility lines, overpasses, and trees present the biggest problem but usually an alternate route can be located. We verify all site conditions up front.

Q. I have seen modular homes in the past -
how do SDC ’s homes compare?

A. SDC goes the extra step to customize each modular home to your style and taste. Built-in cabinets, bead board wainscot, and ceramic tile showers are some of the features we can include.

Q. Can you assist me with financing?
A. There are many options today when it comes to financing. We can help you eliminate a lot of the confusion. Find out how much you can really afford using our mortgage calculator on our Links.

Q. If I want to pursue working with SDC where do I begin?
A. Send us an email or call us at 508-728-5707 to set up your first appointment.
